Please note the following:
  • Before applying please read/print the eligibility criteria & selection procedure carefully.
  • Before starting the registration process, you are advised to consult the 'How to Apply' section at the bottom.
  • Before applying online candidates should be ready with the scanned documents for uploading:10th Board Marksheet, 10+2 Board Marksheet and SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD Certificate (where applicable)
    [maximum 100 KB size allowed. Only .jpg, .jpeg and .png file is allowed.]
  • Each candidate will need to register only once. After registration, he/she can apply to as many departments he/she wishes (if eligible). He/she must note the Login-ID for future use.
  • After each application, he/she will get a unique Application No. Using this No he/she can relogin into the system.
  • Candidates do not have to pay any application fees as per the order of Govt of West Bengal.
  • If any Board does not provide any marks (only grade) to the candidates in class 10th board examination, then the candidates of that particular Board have to convert their grades into marks as per the rules of that concerned Board and should enter that marks into the online application form.
  • IMPORTANT: If any candidate wants to fill the form second time, he/she has to enter his/her H.S. or equivalent Registration No./Index No. followed by dup (for example, if your H.S. or equivalent Registration No./Index No. is 5008456 then you will have to enter 5008456dup).
INFORMATION:
  • Before submitting the filled in application form on line, the student must check that s/he has entered all marks correctly. The university will not be held responsible for any incorrect entry of marks or incorrect information provided by the student in the application form.

  • Applicants who want to apply for both PD category and SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B category, are requested to upload the SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B certificate with the application form and send the scanned copy of the PD certificate to the mail id (artsadmission@jadavpuruniversity.in) on or before 04/9/2020.

  • Jadavpur University has accepted in principle that each and every student of the University shall be duty bound during the entire period of studentship with the University to immediately report to the Dean of Students if any ragging is noticed either in University hostel or on University campus.
    If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the Authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the Authority would expel him/her from the University.
  • As per Rules of the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/OBC-A/OBC-B of the States other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency issued by the competent authority
  • The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC- A and OBC- B categories must produce an OBC certificate (the date of issue of the certificate should not be earlier than August 2019, and category 'A' or 'B' must be clearly specified) issued by the competent authority that they do not belong to creamy layer of the society, at the time of counselling/ admission.
